Greetings from Åland!

This summer's main sailing trip started on Saturday the 17th of June with a leg from Turku to Korppoo. After that we continued to Åland and Mariehamn, where we arrived on Tuesday. We had some plans to sail over to the Swedish side, but Tuesday was too windy as the northwesterly wind was gusting almost in gale strength.

The boat was left to Mariehamn for about a week and we are back in action on Tuesday next week.

Have a great Midsummer everybody!

On the first two days we had mostly light headwind

On Monday the wind veered to north and we got a great
sailing leg through the southeastern Åland Archipelago

Early Summer 2017

This spring has passed quickly and we have had not as much time for sailing as we would have liked. Dolphin Dance logged about 140 nautical miles during the first month so we have mostly stayed in the home waters. Last weekend we did a three-day trip to Tammo and Helsingholmen, which is definitely among our favourite harbours in the Finnish Archipelago.

A little bit over week to go until starting this year's main summer journey. Well actually we will officially start our summer holiday from Midsummer, but Dolphin Dance will be sailed to Mariehamn a week earlier. So this summer we will be heading west... more about our plans later.
